Let's take a look at some of the absurd ways our federal government choses to spend our hard-earned tax dollars. CNS News reports the following outrageous examples:
The Interior Department through its Bureau of Reclamation has announced a $600,000 grant opportunity to capture and radio track California leaf-nosed bats and Townsend’s big-eared bats “... to determine and describe the distribution of foraging distances.” (CNS News)
Or how about this …
The Interior Department is planning to spend $50,000 over a five-year period to study the dwarf bear-claw poppy, a federally listed endangered plant that grows in Washington County, Utah. (CNS News)

The National Science Foundation has awarded $742,000 to Washington State University to test
differences in breast milk around the world using breast milk and “infant fecal samples.” (CNS News)
