The Interior Department through its Bureau of Reclamation has announced a $600,000 grant opportunity to capture and radio track California leaf-nosed bats and Townsend’s big-eared bats “... to determine and describe the distribution of foraging distances.” (CNS News)

The Interior Department is planning to spend $50,000 over a five-year period to study the dwarf bear-claw poppy, a federally listed endangered plant that grows in Washington County, Utah. (CNS News)
